From individual characteristics to a secure identity

On every surface, unique features result from machine tolerances during the production process, which are only recognizable from a macro perspective. The technology developed by DynamicElement makes use of this fact.

Identification Step by Step

1.

The individual features resulting from the production process can be captured from various surfaces: plastic, metal, or paper – regardless of whether the texture is rough or smooth.

2.

The features are captured by our software at a macro level. The sum of all the features is then assigned to a product identity – similar to the biometric process for humans.

3.

This identity is stored in our database as a unique fingerprint of the product.

4.

To verify the authenticity of a product, the fingerprint can now be taken again and compared with the information in the database.

5.

A globally patented process developed by DynamicElement makes it possible to repeatedly update the fingerprint stored in the database and save it as a new original: Each time the fingerprint is verified, natural changes such as age-related scratches are recorded and registered as further developed features of the fingerprint. As the verifiability of the product is maintained for a long time despite wear and tear, the integration of “dynamic security” is particularly suitable for long-lasting products.
